Dr. Qu graduated from the prestigious, PLA Naval Medical School (previously known as the Second Military Medical University 第二軍醫大學) of Shanghai in 1984. He has over 40 years of clinical experience. As a young scholar, he was a researcher at Einstein Medical School (愛因斯坦醫學院), conducting studies on HPV. His work culminated in the creation of the HPV vaccine, Gardasil (加德西). Aside from his training in Shanghai and work at Bethune International Peace Hospital(白求恩國際和平醫院), he completed residencies at the University of Maryland Medical Center, the Catholic Medical centers of Brooklyn and Queens (NYMC), and NYU Downtown Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. In addition, Dr. Qu completed an OBGYN Fellowship in MIGS at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and trained in advanced OB/GYN ultrasound. Before starting his private practice, he worked at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Montefiore St. Luke's-Cornwall. Furthermore, he has training in anesthesia.

Dr. Qu is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has NY State Medical Licensure. He is an ACOG Fellow and serves as an active community member of the greater NYC area. He is a board member of ACAP (Association of Chinese American Physicians). As a CAIPA provider, he is dedicated to providing value-based care to the community. He enjoyed teaching medical students from St. George's University and Cornell Medical College as well as residents from NY Presbyterian and Flushing Hospital. He gives free clinical advice & education during community health events in Flushing, NY and is a well respected member of the community.
